Designed to deliver the same superior cable management capabilities as Middle Atlantic’s standard riser bases, the Middle Atlantic 1 Bay Riser Base stands ready for use in areas of high seismic activity. Part of the SRB Series, this seismic-certified riser base is engineered to endure the demanding conditions of Zone 4 and Seismic Design Category (SDC) D environments while keeping cables neatly organized, protected, and easy to access. If you’re equipping data centers, broadcast facilities, or AV installations in regions with elevated seismic risk, this 1 bay riser base provides a reliable, code-compliant solution that integrates seamlessly with existing Middle Atlantic rack systems. It combines robust construction with precise cable management, helping you maintain performance, reduce downtime, and simplify maintenance in challenging settings.

  • Seismic-certified for high-risk environments: Zone 4 and Seismic Design Category (SDC) D capabilities are built into the SRB Series, providing enhanced protection for cables and connections during seismic events. This base has undergone rigorous testing to satisfy relevant codes and standards, giving you confidence that your cable infrastructure remains organized and intact when it matters most.
  • 1 bay capacity, identical cable management to standard riser bases: The 1 Bay Riser Base delivers the same thoughtful cable routing, strain relief, and clean layout you rely on from Middle Atlantic’s riser bases, but optimized for seismic resilience. It accommodates a single bay’s worth of cables, enabling tidy organization without compromising accessibility or serviceability during maintenance or upgrades.
  • Durable, purpose-built SRB Series construction: Integrating seamlessly with other SRB components, this riser base is designed to withstand the rigors of demanding environments. The rugged design provides reliable performance under load, with careful attention to cable pathways that reduce wear and interference while keeping pathways clear for airflow and heat management around sensitive equipment.
  • Versatile for application across data centers, broadcast facilities, and corporate AV rooms: Whether you’re routing power, data, or control cabling, the 1 Bay Riser Base supports organized cabling in elevated-risk zones. Its compatibility with Middle Atlantic rack systems makes it an ideal upgrade for facilities that must meet seismic safety requirements without sacrificing efficiency or aesthetics.
  • Easy integration and maintenance, with design that supports scalable growth: The unit’s design accommodates evolving cable needs as facilities expand. It remains straightforward to install alongside other riser components, and its managed pathways help technicians quickly identify routes, minimize downtime, and perform routine inspections with minimal disruption.

How to install Middle Atlantic 1 Bay Riser Base

  • Plan and verify compatibility: Confirm that the 1 Bay Riser Base complements your existing Middle Atlantic rack system and that the installation location supports seismic-rated infrastructure for Zone 4/SDC D environments.
  • Prepare installation area: Clear the workspace, inspect mounting surfaces, and ensure there is adequate space for cabling, airflow, and accessibility to connectors after installation.
  • Position the riser base: Align the 1 Bay Riser Base with your rack or mounting footprint, ensuring proper clearance for cable routing paths and any adjacent components within the SRB ecosystem.
  • Route and secure cables: Carefully thread cables through the riser base’s channels and pathways, maintaining orderly organization to minimize bend radius, strain, and interference. Use appropriate fasteners and cable ties as needed to secure workflows.
  • Finalize installation and test: Attach any covers, verify that cables are well-organized and tension-free, and perform a basic functional check to ensure signal integrity and power distribution continue to operate as expected after installation.

Frequently asked questions

  • What makes the Middle Atlantic 1 Bay Riser Base different from a standard riser base? It shares the same cable management facilities as standard riser bases while adding seismic certification features suitable for Zone 4/SDC D environments, ensuring robust performance during earthquakes without compromising cabling organization.

Classic wardrobe basic
Size: X-Large, Color: Black, Size: X-Large, Color: Black
Great fit and a nice lightweight fabric. The elastic in the back helps it fit a woman's curves just fine, and because these are men's shorts, they have nice deep pockets in the front. A little longer than I thought they would be, but that just means they're a modest basic look. On the whole, a good value for the money, reasonable quality.

solid old style docs construction
i am a medium to wide-ish 7.5 in women's, that typically wears an 8 for room. these fit like a wider, roomy 8.5 women's. that is fine because i intend to wear them with thicker socks and for long walks.they are immediately comfortable, and do not feel like they will have the typical brutal break in period. very stable and fitted around the ankle, yet not impossible to pull on and off. they are so handsome, and meet my expectations.

Get it!!
Size: 6 Women/5 Men, Color: Black Blizzard Wp
This shoe has been a dream for me. I live in an area that gets snow so having the inner lining is great. My feet haven't been cold and I’ve not felt the need to multi-layer my socks, like with other shoes. Unlike most doc marts, I did nor have to break in this shoe, its been very comfy from the get. Material is really durable and has lasted me a long time. This is a great shoe, especially for how affordable it is.

Authentic Docs for great price!
The boots I purchased were Chelsea 2976 in Nappa leather (not the brown Crazy Horse, but the Black; such nice and soft leather!) and unisex size men's 7/women's 8/EU 39 (I'm normally a women's US 9/EU 40, but that's what fit best--see notes on sizing below). Considering the price, I was a little skeptical that these were genuinely Dr. Marten's, so I ended up bring them into a store to verify before wearing them--and multiple salespeople, who had worked for the company for 7+ years, said they looked like the real deal to them, which is amazing for the price (I got them when they were $99 online, but $160 in store; may have been a sale...?). Before ordering, I also visited the store to get the right sizing--Dr. Marten's doesn't sell my normal size in the US (EU 40), so I needed help figuring out what to buy. In the end that was either a women's EU 41 or a unisex 39. Dr. Marten's women's sizes are cut more narrow, so if purchasing women's, I needed a longer shoe to give my toes more space (EU 41, which they say is a women's US 9 but on many shoes EU 41 is a US 9.5 or even US 10). Unisex sizes are wider, so I was fine with a shorter length (EU 39). In the end, the only real difference between the women's sizing and men's sizing on the Chelsea boot was at the ankle; for some reason, the women's 41 had more of a gap at the ankle and I worried that might make it rub/blister more, so I went with unisex sizing. It might also depend on the boot, so I'd say go to the store for sizing before purchasing online. Once I got them & verified their authenticity, I got a but of things to help with weatherizing them and breaking them in (Dr. Marten's has a great kit! And, double thick socks). I did get a bad blister wearing them too long & uphill on the first day (and I had to get used to their weight; I don't have many heavier shoes). But, I used Compeed patches for the blister (should have put them on to prevent, but it was fine once they were on) and after a week of wearing them a little bit at a time, they are now super comfortable and I love them! Highly recommend!

Function and style
Size: 11 Women/10 Men, Color: Black Blizzard Wp
Ideal boot for the winter, snow, mud, etc. Protect your feet beautifully, stylishly. Tip: Wear with two socks to help break in for the first couple weeks. If you are a half size, round up. This is the model without laces, makes for easy slip on / slip off for those pesky people who insist on having you take off your shoes at their house! Ha ha, you know who you are.
