This is a super easy kit everything is PRE-CUT and it is all Half Squares

if it is 1930's you WON'T have any Civil War and vice versa

The fabrics are from a line called Garden Party by Island Batik and they are mostly primary colors with things you would find in a garden

50" Cut blocks of White angels on blue fabric

Anyway most of them are in Christmas colors and the solid red backing really shows up the quilted Poinsettias

this funky and fun fabric would be great for I spy quilts

The backing is a lovely cream with a complex paisley quilting design

It of course is made with Civil War reproduction fabrics

Like some other Block of the Months that I've done in the past if you plan on adding that 2nd border I would not wait very long

I'm just not a good enough editor to crop that out

that's right this quilt is using the Strip Tube technique if you have never done Strip Tubing this is a great way to introduce yourself into this wonderfully fun way of doing blocks
